Painting a Plate - Potting Shed Wirral
On spec spent a really enjoyable saturday afternoon in the Potting Shed Wirral painting a birds and trees design on a really giant plate - if it comes out I will include it in the show at the Pydar Gallery in March along with several other parge plates I am planning. http://www.facebook.com/pydargallery
I bunked onto a table that had been booked by another party of five who kindly let me squeeze in. The place was really busy and the staff accomodating and helpful. Etsyan Jen Wu http://www.etsy.com/shop/sildara who's table booking I had crashed very kindly took this photo of what the plate looked like before firing on her phone - They colours are much paler now, the finished thing will be really bright with five teal birds and green trees - a smartphone would come in so handy for taking snaps for work on the go. It will be ready to collect in a weeks time - who knows I might try and do one or two more if it come out ok. If you are on the Wirral pop into the potting shed for crafty exploits of your own! Picked up the finished plate yesterday - thanks to Jeanette at Potting shed for the photo will be in next week to work on another one.
