Lady Lever Gallery - Sketchbook work

I rushed to the lady lever art gallery in Port Sunlight today with the intention of spending an hour drawing having dropped Max at a soccer school - I was having such an enjoyable time in fact completely lost all concept of time (drawing has that affect on me) and this flying visit ended up at four hours, drawing from the fantastic wealth of artefacts in the collection. This sketch is inspired by detail on a copper picture frame designed by Holman Hunt for the 1888 painting
